mmmmm. Here is where I should brag about all the great publications I have had. Well, I have had a few (see below), but not a mountain full.
Or I could brag about my amazing education. Actually, I was the first person in my family to attend college, so I am pretty proud of that.
But those not the real things that I am proud of. Here are some of those things:
I am proud that I was a teacher for three years, two years in Somalia in the Peace Corps, and another year in southern California.
I am proud that I helped hundreds of children find books that delighted them when I was a librarian.
I am proud that I helped four people step into the next world, whatever it is, without fear.
I am proud that my two kitties are happy little creatures. That’s Serenditpity Marguerite la Petite — aka “Dippity” — playing hide and seek.
There are lots of other things that I am proud of. These things have little to do with “accomplishments,” but lots to do with Life. A Good Life.
I am grateful every day that I have been granted so many blessings, so many friends, and I am so grateful that I have been granted the time and energy to write.
But here is the stuff you may want to know.
Like many of us in the 20th and 21st centuries, my “job title” changed a number of times. I was a teacher, a librarian, a legal assistant, a Managing Editor for a business newspaper, a research specialist for a venture capital firm, a web coach. Then I retired and became a writer.
